What do the individual elements of interior design look like?
Do you feel stuck on how to decorate or remodel your home in a cohesive way. With so many options, you may be unsure where to begin to make it reflect your personal style.
A design consultation with Margaret provides the clarity needed to actualize your interior vision. She’ll first deeply understand your lifestyle, taste, and spatial needs while touring your current home. Depending on where you are, this can be done in-person or via a video call.
Margaret will collaboratively explore your aesthetic, pinpoint problem areas, and provide tailored solutions for furnishings, layouts, lighting, and decor based on your lifestyle and taste.
She will then provide expert recommendations on remodeling, layout improvements, selecting cohesive palettes and furnishings, lighting, and sourcing décor that will make the space shine.
The goal of this design option is to provide clarity, direction, and possibility so you can confidently create the home you’ve always envisioned.
So, you have a vision for your dream home but don’t know where to start or how to articulate your style.
Your journey begins with an in-depth consultation where Margaret will spend 2-3 hours touring your home and listening closely to understand your vision, lifestyle, challenges and goals.
Depending on where you are, this can be done in-person or via a video call.
She asks thoughtful questions and takes precise measurements (depending on your location) of the space while you articulate your dream aesthetic.
You’ll collaborate on an inspiration board of images and examples that appeal to you.
Margaret synthesizes this information into design guidelines that capture your unique interior vision.
Clients often know what they want in terms of space, but are unsure how to arrange it for maximum functionality.
Once the design direction is set, Margaret creates 2-3 detailed floorplan options showing furniture layouts, room functions, and flow.
She explores various spatial configurations personalized to your feedback, whether suggesting moving walls, adding a partition, or opening up sightlines.
You’ll review the floor plans together, deciding on the final layout that maximizes your space for beauty and functionality.
The result is an optimal layout bringing your vision to life.
Most people have trouble visualizing how colors and textures will come together.
With layout complete, Margaret will present two comprehensive mood boards (Home staging option) featuring paint color palettes, upholstery/fabric swatches, wallpaper styles, carpet samples, lighting inspiration, furniture ideas, and accessory suggestions tailored to your approved design aesthetic.
You’ll have fun selecting your preferred mood board to align on a cohesive style for the final design.
It can be really hard to picture how your finished design will look in reality.
For the Home Makeover Design Margaret creates photorealistic 3D renderings of your new interior.
This brings the design to life visually before construction even begins.
You’ll be able to view the space and make finishing selections for a seamlessly executed vision.
Walk through your new dream home and experience the design before construction starts.
After finalizing the decorative direction, Margaret compiles a meticulous shopping list of all the items needed to complete the space – down to the throw pillows and lamps.
You’ll receive an organized list of over 100 hand-selected pieces of furniture, lighting, accents, textiles, artwork and more needed to execute the design visually presented on the mood board or visuals.
